It is a three story, 114,000 Sf, 38 classroom school with gymnasium, kitchen and dining facility located on west side of Chicago. A Prototype elementary school that was detail designed and value engineered to ensure fit into budget. Value engineering included cost effective design of electrical service systems, eliminated step down transformers and associated cooling of electrical room, hot water heating distribution system and domestic cold and hot water distribution systems. Library air distribution system was modified to supply air at floor level rather than supplying overhead that has a twenty-four feet high ceiling.
